First time blogger, long time… internet user?

I stared at the screen for a number of minutes, trying to decide how to ‘begin’ a blog, then I decided that I was wasting time better spent sleeping.

Here goes.

I am 23 years old and will be moving to Seoul, S. Korea, in three days. I will be an English teacher, a role model [for tiny Korean children whose dream involves a happily ambitionless jaunt across many continents] and perhaps a Go master.

…that last one could take a while.

I have never written a blog; or even, for that matter, a journal. I do love blank books, and my windowsill at home might give the mistaken impression that I’ve filled dozens of handcrafted diaries. This is a carefully constructed lie. I suppose this will function as a number of outlets; as a travel journal, and as a repository for the endless array of random jewels that pepper the internet; and, probably, as a place to rant and rage against all variety of international irritations.

I don’t really expect to write again here until I have arrived in Seoul. Until then;<br>Ciao, bitches.
